Okay, my feelings will be at the bottom of this review. First, some facts:Color for Rose is accurate, firstly. I'm surprised how true the color was to the screen, and expected the rose to be paler or more saturated... nope! So points to Doughnut for accurate color representation. I knew this before purchasing, but I have to make a comment: why the brown liner? It's strange, and doesn't go with most of the outer color options available. Overall... a strange choice. The bag I received is of solid construction. I haven't tested the waterproof feature, but it certainly feels waterproof. It's got a slight shine to it, too; it's not ugly and it isn't diaper-bag plasticky, though. All in all, an aesthetically pleasing bag.I purchased my bag to hold my on-the-go sketchbook supplies. It will fit up to a B5 sketchbook. When you purchase yours, take into account what you're going to be carrying: as a sketch bag, it might not be big enough. I can fit two sketchbooks and my art case easily, but I'll need to carry around a purse to hold my toiletries, keys, and other day essentials. (I wish I'd gone with the 14", but ah well.)Now, where this bag loses a star is... goodness, it is an ugly thing to wear. It's lovely to look at, and I'm pretty lovely to look at on most days, but put us together and you get a fusion of just NO. The bag is too small for an adult body of average height, and no amount of adjusting the straps will fix that issue. This, to me, isn't a huge surprise? I was sure 12" would be too small for my frame, but every youtube video, blog review, and image search I managed to find for the mini made it seem like it would work."But C," you say, "Your giantess figure may not be compatible with a mini, but that isn't a worthy reason to knock off a star! That sounds like a YOU problem!" And in that case, I agree. Except that Doughnut could have easily given us customization options to make this bag work in other ways. Why not add a zipper to the straps so we can connect them, making one strap to then sling over the shoulder all casual-like? Why not give us the option to convert it into a purse, or a messenger bag, when other (cheaper) bags give us those same options? This bag is small, and Doughnut knows it is small. Doughnut knows it is TOO small to wear without looking like we're on our way to audition for the leading role of Big 2. So, yeah. I'm a bit bummed. To sum up:I wish I ordered this bag through Amazon, if only for the easy return process. but that's not a knock on the quality of this bag: it's of a solid make and the color is nice. I would return it, but only to turn around and purchase the next size up.
