The material is waterproof, it insulates well, and it is generous in size so she can fill a lot of lunch and snacks in her tote-style lunch bag. If you're looking for a lunch tote with good thermal and waterproof features, she can gives this a strong recommendation.This is a great, small, space saving lunch bag. It's that neoprene material (like a mouse pad). It is stretchy and actually can hold quite a bit, but it is soft sided, so you do have to pack anything that might get squished in a hard sided container before putting it in here. It zips up well and is easy to carry. When it is empty it folds completely flat, so it's easy to store and works great if you have limited space. It washes in the washing machine (and air dries) really well. Overall, it's great quality and does exactly what we need.
